Josh Damigo - Walking With Your Shoes Untied Every song won’t be a hit And every year won’t be your best But if you learn something from it There’s no need to hang your head Every wrong turn isn’t wrong And the right moves don’t always work But if you learn a lesson, dear Don’t let nothing bother you, yeah It’s like walking with your shoes untied and Singing with the clouds in your skies and Laughing with the tears in your eyes It’s just a little thing called “life” And it’s like walking with your shoes untied Now, every plan won’t always work And you may fall flat on your face But once your brush off all the dirt You’ll see, it’s gonna be a beautiful day, yeah Walking with your shoes untied and Singing with the clouds in your skies and Laughing through the tears in your eyes It’s just a little thing called, “life” And it’s like walking with your shoes untied Now don’t you get me wrong It’s not always rainbows and love songs But you can’t do anything Except, change the way you look at things, yeah Walking with your shoes untied and Singing with the clouds in your skies and Laughing with the tears in your eyes It’s like, Walking with your shoes untied and Singing with the clouds in your skies and Laughing with the tears in your eyes It’s just a little thing called “life” And it’s like walking with your shoes untied

Josh Damigo - Just Give Me A Call When the very earth you stand on Starts to tumble down When you've overstayed your welcome And you're tired of this old town When your friends they all desert you And you want to come around Just give me a call When you're tired of all the liars And all the politics When your heart is nearly broken And you feel like it could quit When your world just won't stop spinning And you want it all to end Just give me a call I will be there To put the blue back in your skies I will be there Before the tears fill up your eyes I will be there To hold you through it all Just give me a call When you're searching for a reason But it just can't be found When you're all filled up with poison And your body's in the ground When you want someone to love you Without making a sound Just give me a call I will be there To put the blue back in your skies I will be there Before the tears fill up your eyes I will be there To hold you through it all Just give me a call I will be there To put the blue back in your skies I will be there Before the tears fill up your eyes I will be there To hold you through it all Just give me a call Just give me a call

Josh Damigo - Goodbye, Good Times Started way back when I was just four years old Never did as I was told Oh no Twenty years later and not a damn thing has changed Yeah, I’m still the same And I’m still deranged Well the cops came and locked me All because I just couldn’t stop And now I’m doing five In the penitentiary Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Now I’m back on the street and trying not to break parole I’m going to church Sitting in the front row They passed me the biggest offering plate I’d ever seen I couldn’t help myself There was so much green Well the Pastor called the cops And they came and they locked me up And now I’m doing ten In the penitentiary Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Now I’m out on the street and trying to keep my nose clean I got me a job In a bowling league Well, the women’s team captain is a ball bustin’ son of a gun She got in my face So I just swung Well, that was my third strike Cause she was the Sheriff’s wife And now I’m doing life In the penitentiary Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Me and Big Larry busted out of the prison walls And we made our way To Mexico A pretty senorita sang a song of sweet seduction But just my luck, She was the Federali’s wife, Why Now I’m wearing a blindfold And I’m having my last smoke And this firing squad Is gonna be the death of me Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Goodbye, all of my good times I had some good times, saying goodbye Goodbye, all of my good times Yeah, I sure had some good times, now I’m saying goodbye

Tennessee 03:56
Josh Damigo - Tennessee My dear, Tennessee Well, you’re just too big for me Your neon lights lay heavy on my sky Oh what have you done What great city you’ve become To let the minstrels sing before they die Say a prayer for me All you saints of Galilee Cause I don’t know who I will be tomorrow Once the night has come I can drink until the sun Ruins me, the way it always does Oh Tennessee, Tennessee Won’t you pray for me You’ve taken all, all I had to give When all the love is gone I guess it’s time for getting on But you’ll always have the center of my heart Houses made of cards And smiles filled of scars Are all I hear, when you whisper name Lines and promises And empty kisses All your pretty words, they all just sound the same Oh Tennessee, Tennessee Won’t you pray for me You’ve taken all, all I had to give When all the love is gone I guess it’s time for getting on But you’ll always have the center of my heart Oh Tennessee, Tennessee Won’t you pray for me Cause you’ve always had the center of my heart
5.
Josh Damigo - It’s Hard To Make A Heart Forget Someone asked me about you I didn’t know what to say And it took all my composure Just to wear a happy face So I stumbled back home To a dark empty room I laid my head on the floor With a picture of you It’s hard to make a heart forget When it doesn’t want to give up yet And there’s no room for argument That it’ll listen to Even though I know you’re gone A part of you is still beating strong Now I’m finally at the point of nothing left to lose I found a note you left me In a box on the shelf And it kills to believe that You’re writing those to someone else It’s hard to make a heart forget When it doesn’t want to give up yet And there’s no room for argument That it’ll listen to Even though I know you’re gone A part of you is still beating strong Now I’m finally at the point of nothing left to lose In my head I’m over you Still I just can’t forget Cause even though you’ve moved on I still feel you in my chest It’s hard to make a heart forget When it doesn’t want to give up yet And there’s no room for arguments That it’ll listen to And even though I know you’re gone A part of you is still beating strong Now I’m finally at the point of nothing left to lose
6.
Josh Damigo - The Day That You Left Me When you broke my heart I nearly died Sat on my mom’s porch And cried all night My father said, “Son, You should be wild and free Yeah you had a lot of nerve When you kicked me to the curb I started swearing like a sailor Using every dirty word So I guess what I am saying, Is you really left a mark on me Because I started having fun The day that you left me I started playing banjo ‘Cause I know that you like Jay-z I grew out my mustache When you said it looked bad on me Got myself a new tattoo When you said you like your men clean I did everything I wanted And I’ve never ever felt so free Yeah, I started having fun The day that you left me Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada I started smoking cigarettes You said you didn’t like the smell I got myself a motorbike Cause you’d worry if I ever fell I started watching baseball games When you said that it was boring as hell Oh, I did everything I wanted And I’ve never ever felt so free Yeah, I started having fun The day that you left me Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Sure I still miss you sometimes When I think of all the fun we had Watching all those daytime soaps Instead of watching Breaking Bad Cuddling every night Instead of going out with all my friends Wait… did I just say I missed that? Cause I don’t Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada I got myself a kick ass band Started listening to Duran Duran Bought myself an RV and Went camping on Lake Michigan I danced my ass off every night Lost a tooth in bar room fight I just started living life And kissing every single girl in sight Yeah I started having fun Yeah I started having fun You know I started having fun The day that you left me Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada Bada dada dada dadada

Not Yours 03:24
Josh Damigo - Not Yours Why does it seem so hard Why is my heart a mess Why is it difficult to breathe When will I ever learn When will this ever end When can I finally be freed I thought I was over you But I guess you went and proved me wrong Take me out of this prison Break these bars and let me go Cause I’m not yours Don’t make me drink from your poison Baby I’d rather be alone Cause I’m not yours, anymore Now how can I justify Another restless night Of dreaming dreams for you Why haven’t I realized After seeing through all your lies That my dreams will not come true I want to be over you But I hear your song calling me back Take me out of this prison Break these bars and let me go Cause I’m not yours Don’t make me drink from your poison Baby I’d rather be alone Cause I’m not yours, anymore You have no power over me Now I’m finally Fine on my own Take me out of this prison Break these chains and let me go Cause I’m not yours Don’t make me drink from your poison Baby I’d rather be alone Cause I’m not yours Take me out of this prison Break these bars and let me go Cause I’m not yours Don’t make me drink from your poison Baby I’d rather be alone Cause I’m not yours
8.
Josh Damigo - I Never Want To Say Goodbye To You I never knew I could have someone like you Who makes all of my dreams come true And makes me feel, alright I never dreamed That this could happen to me Now it’s all peaches and cream And I feel, alright And I never wanna fight And I never wanna cry And I never wanna see you with another guy Oh, I never want to say goodbye to you I never thought Someone could make me fall Heel-over-head like you doll And now I feel, alright I never thunk I could be so awestruck Spiking my heart with your love And now I feel, alright And I never wanna fight And I never wanna cry And I never wanna see you with another guy Oh, I never want to say goodbye to you And all I wanna do is kiss you And all I wanna do is hold you tight All I wanna do is love you And make your world as good As you’ve made mine Oh, I never wanna fight And I never wanna cry And I never wanna see you with another guy Oh, I never want to say goodbye to you
9.
Josh Damigo - How I Fall In Love Mama always said not to fall in love She said, “Boy, you better take your time…” Don’t show ‘em your hand, don’t move too fast You’ll save yourself some trouble down the line Well, I guess that’s a lesson that I never learned Cause I gotta heart full of battle scars I’m no good at games, ain’t got no poker face When I fall in love, I fall real hard I’ll notice that I miss her smile, when she’s gone I’ll find myself wishing on every single star And I could have the whole wide world But she’d control my heart That’s how I fall in love That’s how I fall in love My friends will say she’s no good for me They’ll say, “Man, she’s gonna leave you blue…” Don’t let her close, but they already know That there ain’t nothing I can do I noticed that I missed her smile, when she’s gone I found myself wishing on every single star And I could have the whole wide world But she’d control my heart That’s how I fall in love That’s how I fall in love And I’ll get shaky hands When I see her again And I won’t find the words to say I’ll jump the gun again End up alone and then I’ll have no one else to blame Cause I noticed that I missed her smile, when she’s gone I found myself wishing on every single star And I could have the whole wide world But she’d control my heart That’s how I fall in love That’s how I fall in love

Cold Killers 03:16
Josh Damigo - Cold Killers I don't know how I got here, or how I got bad But I'm running from the law with crosshairs on my back You see me out your window, you better just run No sweet talking lawyer could reason with my gun I said, something inside me just snapped I said, real cold killers don't look back Real cold killers, we don't look back Now, I can't face the carnage I've caused I'm on every wanted poster from here to Arkansas Nobody move, nobody scream Don't be a hero, get shot on the scene I said, every part of me is bad I said, real cold killers don't look back Real cold killers, don't look back I don't know how I got here, or how I got bad I'm still running from the law with crosshairs on my back You see me out your window, you better just run No sweet talking lawyer could reason with my gun I said, something inside me just snapped I said, real cold killers we don't look back Real cold killers, we don't look back I said, real cold killers, we don’t look back Real cold killers, we don’t look back Real cold killers, we don’t look back Real cold killers, we don’t look back

about

""I Will Be There" takes on a creative aspect that is unlike his previous records yet still brings that classic Josh Damigo sound. Country influences are apparent throughout each track, as you’ll hear the sounds of mandolins, banjos and dobros.

The record opens with “Walking With Your Shoes Untied” which was the perfect intro to the rest of the album. There’s an automatic country vibe with a foot tapping, hand clapping, feel-good chorus mixed in. It has a Buddy Holly-esque resemblance to it, in which it was written with a sense of timelessness to it and can be taken for a variety of meanings. The next track, “Just Give Me A Call”, is the record’s first single and is the perfect radio single for a number of reasons." Gina Catalano - Stage Right Secrets
